MW Bro. Robert Montague
The Grand Lodge of Saskatchewan, whose mission is “To be the Fraternal Organization of Choice for Men in the Province of Saskatchewan”, is pleased to announce that Bro. Robert Montague was elected Grand Master of Saskatchewan Freemasons at their 113th Annual Communication in Regina on June 22, 2019. As Grand Master he will preside over the 2300 Saskatchewan Freemasons in 49 constituent Lodges.
MW Bro. Montague was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and comes from a long line of Masonic family members. His father was a Grand Steward, his mother is a 50+ year member of Eastern Star, his aunt was the Grand Secretary of the Order of Eastern Star in Saskatchewan, his uncle is a Past Grand Master of Cryptic Rite in Ontario and his brother and cousin are also Masons. His two daughters are members of Jobs Daughters in Saskatoon and his son plans to petition a lodge in September.
His mother lodge is Asquith-Harmony Lodge No. 75. He is an affiliate member of Twin City Lodge No. 89 and Goose Lake Lodge No. 99 and an Honourary Life Member of Kinistino Lodge No. 1. He is also a member of Scottish Rite and the Wa Wa Shriners.
After a 14 year career in the Saskatoon Hotel industry, he joined the Canada Revenue Agency in 2006. He currently holds the position of Business Enquiries Agent. He married Sharleen in 2000 and they have three children Sean, Jennifer and Megan.
