The Grand Lodge of Saskatchewan has announced the winners of the $1,000 scholarships awarded annually in each of the organization’s eleven districts to graduates of a Saskatchewan High School who proceeded to an accredited institute of higher learning (technical, vocational or university). The winners for 2009 are: District 1: Jessica Louise McKee of Tisdale, a graduate of Tisdale Middle and Elementary School, who has been accepted into Dalhousie University’s Bachelor of Arts program. District 2: Tiffany Marcia Vass of Regina, a graduate ofDr. Martin LeBoldus High School, who has been acceptedinto the Faculty of Science at Dalhousie University, Halifax. District 3: Danica Rae Kindrachuk of Moose Jaw, who graduated from Vanier Collegiate Institute, and is accepted into the College of Arts and Science at the University of Saskatchewan. District 4: Teghan Michelle Lowe of Moosomin, a graduate of McNaughton High School in Moosomin, and is enrolledin the Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies at the University of Regina. District 5: Quinten Scot Paterson of Saskatoon, a graduate of Marion M. Graham Collegiate in Saskatoon, and is enrolled in the College of Kinesiology program at the University of Saskatchewan. District 6: Jillian Angela Fink, a graduate of Montmartre School, who has been accepted into the Faculty of Science at the University of Regina. District 7: Stephanie Eleanor Jean Blom of Meadow Lake, a graduate of Carpenter High School, and has been acceptedinto the College of Kinesiology program at the University of Saskatchewan. District 8: Jerrim Jacob Rushka of Wymark. He is a graduate of Swift Current Comprehensive High School and will be taking the Fine Arts program at the University of Lethbridge. District 9: Jordan Daniel Sherbino of Biggar who graduated from Biggar Central School 2000. He has been accepted into the Arts and Science program at the University of Saskatchewan. District 10: Morgan Jade McKellar, a graduate of Outlook High School. He has been accepted into the Faculty of Science program at the University of Regina. District 11: Gerard Russel Weber, a graduate of Humboldt Collegiate Institute. He was accepted into the College of Education at the University of Saskatchewan. The winners of two undergraduate awards were also announced. Sarah J. Schmid of Saskatoon won the award for the University of Saskatchewan, and Richard John Lawson Boulding of McLean received the award for the University of Regina. All of these scholarships are available every year, and are open to all of the province’s high school graduates, with no restrictions.
