To promote the commitment to youth programs and to recognize the accomplishments of our members is such programs,  in year 2008 the Grand Lodge of Saskatchewan has established the Grand Master's Masonic Youth Leadership Award

A. Program Objectives:

1.To promote the ongoing commitment to and development of our established and other suitable youth programming activities consistent with the mandate as approved by the Constitution of the Grand Lodge of Saskatchewan.

2.To encourage involvement  in, and commitment to, youth programming activities by Saskatchewan Masons.

B. Goals:

1.The program objectives will be achieved by meeting the following goals:

a)   Recognition of achievement, commitment and excellence demonstrated  by individual Saskatchewan Masons respecting involvement in youth programming activities.

b  ) Provision of appropriate administrative and funding support for the program by the Grand Lodge of Saskatchewan.

c)   Development and implementation of the award program structure.

d)  Publication and promotion of the program in the appropriate media (e.g. the Tracing Board publication).

C. Program Details:

1. Conferring of Awards: 

The awards will be conferred annually as follows:

a)  There will be a maximum of three(3)awards conferred annually.

b)  The awards will be announced and conferred at the Annual Communication by the Grand Master.  Should a recipient not be able to attend the Annual Communication to receive the award, subsequent arrangements will be made for the presentation.

c)  The Grand Master or his designate will issue awards to Masons not available to attend the Annual Communication at some other Masonic activity.

d)  The award shall consist of a medal and a certificate.

e) A short biography and testimonial respecting the winner’s activities shall accompany conferring of the award.

2.Selection Criteria:

a)  The winner must be a Master Mason ingood standing in the Province o Saskatchewan.

b)  The winner must have demonstrated consistent, outstanding performance and commitment to youth activities on an ongoing basis for at least 3 years immediately prior to his nomination for the award.

3. Selection Process:

a) Nominations must be made by Master Masons in good standing in the Province of Saskatchewan.

b) Only one nomination may be made by an individual Master Mason in any given year.

c)  Nominations shall be submitted to the Grand Lodge of Saskatchewan in the approved format alt no later than April 15th for the current year.
